Let's say it was just grabbing food. Which people do with their friends very often. I'd say far more than they do on dates!

[ On the morning of the 25th, there is a small present waiting outside of Eleanor's room. Inside is two bottles of some really good Lyrabar pirate rum, and a carved wooden ornament that looks... vaguely like a shrimp, if one only knew the basic concept of what a shrimp is.

There's also a note, in Lion's painfully formal handwriting.

"It's not much, but I wanted to wish you a Happy Candlenights too, Eleanor-san. I hope it's a fun one for you." ]

[A present is left for Eleanor at her dorm! There's an inconspicuous box that first appears to just be a cute, curled ceramic shrimp. Upon further inspection out of the box it'll become more apparent that this shrimp is actually a pipe definitely meant for smoking weed out of. (Who would have known?!) There's also some body oils from Lyrabar as well as a potted lipstick, cherry red. It's wrapped expertly in a soft satiny-feeling scarf in a wine red color and tied with a black ribbon as well as a small omamori blessing meant for its owner to see success, handmade.

An accompanying note reads:

Eleanor,

I have to thank you for your friendship these past months. I'm quite lucky to have met you!
This strange little shrimp at Fantasy Costco reminded me of you, so I hope it brings you a bit of cheer. You remind me, in a way, of a friend back home who wore scarves like this- I figured it'd look just as lovely on you.

Keep that charm close to your heart in hopes of success in the coming year.

Parts of this were easy. Michael worries about Eleanor at the best of times, and this is far from that. Other parts...well, we don't really have to talk about those, do we?

A few beautifully wrapped presents are left outside her door a couple of days before Christmas, along with a note:]

Please don't ask me how I got this. I don't want to talk about it.

[Inside the gifts are a travel first-aid kit, a small knife with a sheath for hiding, and a sexy mailman calendar for next year. Given that Faerun doesn't have a modern postal service, and certainly not one with uniforms like that, its origins are questionable. Michael probably wasn't involved too much on a conceptual level, at least; the models seem to have correctly hit their "sexy" notes.]

[A messily-wrapped box, with Eleanor's name written directly on the colorful paper. There's a handmade card on top, decorated with stickers and doodles of wintry images like snow, gingerbread men, etc. It's not properly signed, but the signature isn't necessary. On one side of the interior:]

Tall green trees in lights twinkling bright,
Sparkling strands of tinsel and snow pure white,
The smell of hot cocoa and apple cider too,
A very merry Candlenights, from Sayori to you!
[And then on the other side:]

It seemed like it would be really messy to put shrimp cocktail in this so I didn't, but you should do it when you get the chance! I hope it makes it tastier! Thanks for looking out for us. Bards have to stick together, right?

[Inside the box is a much more delicately wrapped wine glass, which has been hand-painted (badly but lovingly) with some goofy-looking shrimp.]

morning of the 25th

[ Chidi disappears from bed early in the morning, and returns not too long after, holding a lap trap with food on it. He's not sure how to wake Eleanor without upturning the tray, so he leans against the bed with one knee and shakes her shoulder quickly with one hand. ]

Eleanor, wake up.

[ He stands again. He hopes she'll enjoy the combination of breakfast items he's brought: waffles with fruit compote, a dish of shrimp cocktail, and a mimosa. ]

26th

[ ...Thought you were done with gifts, huh? Alex leaves for Eleanor a bottle of hard cider and...the world's gaudiest travel mug, along with a note that says for the next time she's undercover.

It's signed from Alex, and it thanks her for being a kind of cool adult who isn't an immortal and/or completely unhinged. ]

A bit after leaving Eleanir's present at her door, Alex has something waiting for him outside his room: a bottle of mead with a big yellow bow tied around it! There's even a note attached:]

Pro-tip: don't chug it all at once. Maybe share with some friends, preferably ones who can legally drink in Faerun unless it's like France and drinking ages are just a suggestion.

Also don't chase it with a bottle and a half of everclear because it's not hitting you as quick as you think it should and then wake up with someone else's wallet in your back pocket and a top hat wrapped duct tape.
